Should we build custom software or buy something off the shelf?
If an off-the-shelf tool fits the way you work, use it. It’s cheaper and quicker. Custom software earns its keep when your team spends hours copying information between systems, or when the way you operate is what sets you apart and no product quite fits it.
Can new software connect to the systems we already use?
Usually. Most business software has an API or at least an export, and connecting systems is a big part of what we build. We check what your current tools allow before we promise anything.
How do you stop a software project blowing out?
By building it in pieces. First we work through the workflow with the people who’ll use it, then build the most useful part, check it against the day-to-day work and keep going from there. Problems show up early, while they’re still cheap to fix.
Who looks after the software once it’s live?
That gets agreed before launch, not after. You get documentation, clear access controls and a release and support plan, so everyone knows who does what, whether that’s us or your own team.
